Mount Vernon Library
Come visit our library! Reading helps build children’s knowledge in fun and interesting ways.
The Mount Vernon Library is overseen by our Library Media Specialist, Nilda Rivera.
Mrs. Nilda Rivera was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2001 and received her Certified Teacher Librarian Certificate from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in 2008. Mrs. Rivera is beginning her 13th year working in elementary education as both a teacher and librarian. This is her first year teaching in the United States and she is excited to bring her experience as an educator, passion for developing and growing students, and love of children to Mount Vernon Community School.
