Mount Vernon Community School (MVCS) is the only full dual language school in ACPS and offers a bilingual, bicultural learning environment in which dedicated staff, students and families actively engage in and provide meaningful educational experiences that allow for both English and Spanish language
acquisition. Students in the Dual Language Program will become bilingual, biliterate and socioculturally competent, while attaining high levels of academic achievement in both program languages.
